Deepening Connection, Communication, and Intimacy
Every relationship has its joys and its challenges. For those of us in Helping Professions, we may struggle with unique challenges that can negatively impact our relationships:
- Visibility in our communities that can make it harder to share our truth and/or ask for help
- Difficulties finding spaces safe enough to do our own work
- Being exhausted from giving all day and having nothing left to give to our partners
- Struggling to allow our partners to nurture us
Our BraveHearted Loving Workshop for Helping Professionals only is designed to start with what IS working, and then help you identify the blocks to intimacy – in yourself and in your partner – that result in conflict, miscommunication, and a lack of connection. You will be given specific tools to deepen vulnerability and emotional intimacy, work through conflict, build communication, and identify and release defenses to help you be more present for passion and joy.
This 3-day multi-couples weekend workshop is designed for helping professionals who want to build greater communication and intimacy in their relationship. Through action-oriented exercises such as psychodrama, sociometry, art making and music, couples will be provided tools to deepen vulnerability and emotional intimacy, work through conflict, build communication, and identify and begin to release defenses that are getting in their way. Couples can gain insight into how their histories are impacting their relationship, to co-create a new road map for their future and live together in greater harmony.

If anyone either tests positive for Covid-19, or has illness symptoms, we ask that you not return for the remainder of the workshop and a credit will be given towards a future workshop for time missed. Specifics on testing and any potential related cost will be communicated a week or two prior to the workshop as it is based upon availability. Mask requirements will be dependent on local ordinance and communicated prior to group.
SUBSTANCE USE POLICY
If you are in recovery, you must have at least 1 year of continuous time, and be actively engaged on a recovery path. As personal work is frequently addressed in our trainings, it is required that all participants abstain from alcohol and non-prescribed substances for the duration of this training as well as the 24 hours prior to workshop commencement. This will aid in being present for the personal work.
