The choice of protagonist often reflects where the group is at in its life cycle, as well as the level of safety and trust group members are experiencing. Having sociometric and group psychotherapeutic awareness can inform the practitioner on the types of warm ups to utilize, that will support the group’s process.
In this second virtual training in the Psychodrama Nuts and Bolts Series, we will explore the process that results in the one of 4 different ways to choose a protagonist- Self-Selection, Director’s Choice, Choice in Action, and Institutional Choice – and how the director can tailor the warm up and protagonist choice to best suit the needs of the group.
Course qualifies for 2 hours of Continuing Education Credit with the California BBS, CCAPP, and Certified Experiential Therapy through ISEP.
