Conducting therapy or counseling sessions online comes with inherent ethical dilemmas. The need for a more thorough assessment of emotional capacity, internal, external and transpersonal resources, pendulation of the depth of the clinical work, and having adequate containment to avoid dysregulation are all imperative in Telehealth sessions, so that we can assist our clients with practicing ethically. In this online workshop – co-sponsored by BraveHeart Retreats and Action Institute of California, we will utilize an action exploration approach to finding ethical solutions to issues that arise when working with clients online.
Drawing upon the wisdom and diverse perspectives of the group members, we will build a safe container that can support transparency and a sense of mutual support. We will use our own learning opportunities to role play ethical choices, and use other action methods to develop solutions that are in the best interests of our clients.
Course qualifies for 2 hours of Continuing Education Credit with the California BBS, CCAPP, and Certified Experiential Therapy through ISEP.
